MOA Galleria - Somerset Shopping Center Sign

Las Vegas, Nevada

G
roovy nighttime photo of the old Somerset Shopping Center neon sign (that's still there) in Vegas. The Landmark Drugs store in this very shopping center is supposedly where Elvis used to have his prescriptions filled when performing in town. Viva Las vegas, mama!

This image is not itself vintage (it was taken last year), but obviously the sign is, so I thought it was still worth sharing in the Galleria. The pic comes courtesy of the fabulous Roadsidepictures' photos flickrset.

I think I might have a brochure of that place somewhere (pending if my old roommate hadn't thrown it away). I will search it out sometime this week. There's also a hotel/apartment building adjacent to this place in the back as well.

Why worry for a vintage photo when one can still appreciate it today!! That's an awesome sign and we are fortunate that it is still around to be photographed.
